Visit to the Faculty of Civil Engineering University of Sarajevo and handover of geodetic equipment

In the premises of the Faculty of Civil Engineering University of Sarajevo, a meeting was held at which the modern geodetic equipment of the Federal Geodetic Administration was handed over to the Department of Geodesy and Geoinformatics.

The meeting was attended by the Director, Mr. Željko Obradović, expert advisor for geoinformatics, Mr. Ervin Redžepagić, the dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering in Sarajevo, Mr. Samir Dolarević, the vice dean, Mr. Mirza Pozder, and professors from the Department of Geodesy and Geoinformatics Mr. Nedim Tuno and Mr. Jusuf Topoljak.

The central point of the meeting was the handover of a new GNSS rovers and two sets of GNSS receivers provided by the Federal Geodetic Administration, as well as two GNSS antennas provided by Vekom d.o.o. Belgrade. This meeting is an expression of sincere cooperation and support between FGA and the Faculty of Civil Engineering, all based on the Agreement on Business Cooperation, and the mentioned geodetic equipment will play an important role in the educational process of students.

During the meeting, the participants discussed current projects, challenges in the education and the need for constant improvement of educational programs in accordance with modern trends, and the importance of maintaining a high level of expertise and preparing students for future challenges in the field of geodesy and geoinformatics was emphasized.

This initiative not only confirms the commitment of both partners to the geodetic sector development, but also lays the good foundations for further cooperation and innovation in the field of education and research. With the support of FGA, the Faculty of Civil Engineering and the Department of Geodesy and Geoinformatics continue to be one of the key players in the creation of professionals capable of responding to the demanding needs of the labor market in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
