From April 6 to 10, 2026, an international expert event titled Technical Deep Dive: Integrated Urban Recovery and Transformation in Ukraine was held in Hiroshima and Tokyo, organized by the World Bank’s Tokyo Development Learning Center (TDLC).

This five-day, invitation-only program brought together representatives of the Ukrainian delegation, World Bank experts, as well as specialists from Japan and partner countries, with the aim of strengthening mutual understanding and creating opportunities for cooperation in the field of urban recovery in Ukraine. The program also focused on enhancing participants’ practical knowledge for effective strategic planning and implementation of urban recovery based on the “building back better” principle, as well as deepening understanding of key factors for recovery, financing, and transformation of urban environments.

The Federal Administration for Geodetic and Real Property Affairs participated in the event at the invitation of the World Bank. On behalf of the Administration, Assistant Director Denis Tabučić was held a presentation during a thematic session dedicated to partner country experiences, highlighting FGA’s practical experience in implementing World Bank projects in the land administration sector, as well as reforms carried out under World Bank-funded programs.

In addition to his presentation, Mr. Tabučić actively participated in a panel discussion within the same session, contributing to discussions on the possible application of acquired knowledge in the context of urban recovery.

Participation in this event confirms the Federal Administration for Geodetic and Real Property Affairs as a reliable partner of the World Bank and a contributor to the global exchange of knowledge in the field of managing reform projects and processes.
