The meeting of representatives of the Federal Geodetic Administration and EuroGeographics was held in the Administration's premises on March 13, 2025. The participants were the Secretary General and Executive Director of EuroGeographics, Mrs. Sallie Payne Snell and the Membership and Communications Manager, Mrs. Patricia Sokacova, as well as the FGA Director, Mr. Željko Obradović, and the Assistant Director, Mr. Denis Tabučić.
The representatives of the Administration presented the current activities and projects of the land administration sector in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and all challenges that this sector faces. It is known that the Federal Geodetic Administration is an active EurogeoGraphics member, and accordingly, preparations for the upcoming General Assembly were discussed, as well as potential data exchange through EuroGeographics, regional cooperation with other members, and similar topics.
It is important to mention a few facts about EuroGeographics, as unique association of equal public sector organizations (European geodetic Authorities responsible for mapping and cadaster) active in geospatial information management from across Europe, which enables the exchange of experiences, best practices and lesson learned. The association provides a collaborative network where individual views are amplified as a collective voice in an international environment.
The strength of EuroGeographics lies in its large membership, and the association represents about 90% of the official bodies responsible for geodetic, topographical, cadastral affairs and land registration in wider geographical Europe. EuroGeographics currently gathering 66 cadastral and cartographic agencies from 44 countries.
