MEETING IN BHANSA

A meeting between representatives of entity geodetic administrations, the delegation of the European Union in BiH, the Ministry of Civil Affairs, the Ministry of Transport and Communications and the representatives of the hosts was held in premises of the BHANSA in Mostar on October 9, 2023.

The topic of the meeting is the possibility of using data within the LIDAR project, financed by the EU funds within the IPA-II-2019 framework, become effective in July 2023 and is expected to be completed in the second half of 2024.

The enormous importance of using data, especially from the aspect of accuracy, was highlighted, and the BHANSA representatives emphasized their special interest with regard to the obligation to provide data from terrain and obstacles to air traffic users, where the European Commission, within the “Single European Sky” initiative, adopted a package of regulatory legal frameworks that define steps, measures and deadlines for achieving these goals.

In the discussion, the desire to find the possibility of exemption from payment of fees for the use of this data to all institutions that need them, was highlighted, all in accordance with the Law on the Procedure for the Conclusion and Execution of International Agreements
