A lecture on the topic 'Land Administration – the Foundation of Economic Development' was held in Čitluk, held by the Director of the Federal Administration for Geodetic and Real Property Affairs, Mr. Željko Obradović, and organized by the Brotnjo Business Association. The lecture was also attended by Assistant Director Mr. Sead Hadžić, Director of the Cantonal Administration for Geodetic and Real Property Affairs Mr. Ivan Lesko, and the Assistant of the Mayor for Geodetic Affairs, Ms. Stana Krmek.

The municipality of Čitluk has been actively implementing several projects and initiatives in the land administration sector. A digital address register has been established for the entire territory of the municipality, and it is important to highlight that Čitluk was a “pilot municipality” in the establishment of this register within the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Within the “Real Estate Registration Project”, financed by World Bank, cadastral and land registry data have been harmonized for the cadastral municipalities of Međugorje, Vionica, Paoča, and Bijakovići. Currently, a new survey and the establishment of a land register are underway for the urban part of the municipality. A project for the establishment of a utility cadastre has been agreed upon and signed, and the implementation of a digital archive project is planned as well.

Recognizing the benefits of these activities and projects, the business community – as one of the key users of land administration data – organized this lecture with the support of the municipality. Accurate, reliable, and secure data is crucial not only for investments but also for overall economic development.

The introductory lecture was followed by constructive discussion, during which the participants expressed their support for continuing these projects – especially the harmonization of cadastral and land registry data and the completion of the new survey and land register for the town area.
