On April 24, 2025, a lecture was held at the Department of Geodesy and Geoinformatics of the Faculty of Civil Engineering University of Sarajevo, as part of the cooperation between the Federal Geodetic Administration and the Faculty. The lecturer on behalf of the Administration was Mr. Elvir Holjan, who spoke on the topic of the survey renewal in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
During the lecture, students were introduced to important projects and activities implemented by the Administration in cooperation with local self-government units. The focus was on creating a cadastral database aligned with the actual state on the ground, which will be used in the process of replacing/establishing a new land registry. During the lecture, topics discussed included preparatory works, aerial photogrammetric survey, terrain deciphering, the database of survey and cadastral classification, and the public exhibition of data regarding survey and cadastral classification.
After the lecture, numerous questions from students and constructive discussion ensued. Representatives of the Department of Geodesy and Geoinformatics expressed their gratitude for the lecture and similar events that improve the educational process, enabling students to become acquainted with current challenges and practical solutions in modern geodetic practice.
