Follow-Up Training of the Project Management Specialists Group

In line with the planned activities under CILAP Project, the second Workshop on Project Management was held in Banja Luka from 4 - 6 March 2014.

The workshop was facilitated by an expert from Lantmäteriet, Kent Nilsson, Senior Technical Advisor in Lantmäteriet's International Services Department.

This was the second of the three planned trainings in this field in which the activities on advancing the knowledge of the group of specialists from Federal Administration for Geodetic and Real Property Affairs of FBiH and Republic Administration for Geodetic and Real Property Affairs of RS on managing complex projects within the administrations continued. Standard forms and procedures defined by the project model PPS that is in use in Lantmäteriet were used throughout the workshop.

The specialists from both administrations practiced development of the project documents defined by the model (project plan, engagement agreement, activity list, project status report) on specific and planned projects, while concurrently adjusting those documents to the specific needs of their administrations.

It was concluded that the PPS model can, with some adjustments, be used as a basis for project planning and systematic approach to project management.
