Education regarding the application of the regulations on satellite measurements in geodesy

Education regarding the application of the Regulations on satellite measurements in geodesy was held in Livno on November 22, 2024. Over 70 participants showed interest in participating, and the training served to exchange experiences and familiarize with the use of effective satellite positioning methods, especially the RTK method supported by the permanent GNSS station system (FBiHPOS), as well as knowledge and understanding of the possibilities of GNSS positioning from the point of view of achievable precision and reliability.

The training was intended for employees of local government units and private companies, as well as other entities that use satellite measurements in their daily work.

During the education following presentations were held:

1. Use of GNSS in geodesy - opportunities and challenges; Željko Bačić- Faculty of Geodesy Zagreb

2. Application of the Regulations on satellite measurements in practice; Ervin Redžepagić- Federal Administration for Geodetic and Real Property Affairs

During the training, participants had the opportunity to get to know about scientific information on satellite measurements and their processing (GNSS systems, measurement methods with special attention to RTK measurements, coordinate systems, coordinate transformation and various influences on satellite measurements), and practical application of the Regulations on satellite measurements in geodesy.
