As a part of the DELEF project, the Federal Administration for Geodetic and Real Property Affairs has successfully acquired a license for Bernese GNSS Software, one of the most advanced scientific software for satellite measurements. At the five-day training, which was held in Bern, Switzerland, from January 27 until January 31, Mr. Ervin Redžepagić and Mr. Jasmin Ćatić participated in front of the Federal Geodetic Administration, who are also one of the first experts from Bosnia and Herzegovina to participate in this specialized education.

The Bernese GNSS Software is a multi-GNSS data processing software developed at the Astronomical Institute of the University of Bern (AIUB), used worldwide for precise GNSS data processing. Its capabilities include high-precision processing of satellite measurements, calculation of GNSS campaigns, determination of annual changes reference network stations , as well as post-processing of data from continuous stations of GNSS networks such as FBiHPOS.

This training enabled the representatives of the Administration to get familiarize with the functionality of the software in detail, including procedures for processing GNSS data, analysis of measurement quality, and generation of accurate and reliable coordinates. This expertise is key for improving the FBiHPOS network because it enables high-precision processing of daily GNSS measurements, better data quality control and reliable analysis of deformations and movements of reference stations.

By acquiring this software tool and appropriate professional training, the Federal Geodetic Administration now has one of the most powerful scientific solutions in the field of satellite geodesy. It is expected that the implementation of Bernese software will improve the quality and precision of geodetic data in Bosnia and Herzegovina, enabling more reliable use of GNSS technologies in various sectors of the economy and research.

In addition to our country, experts from technical universities and scientific research centers from Germany, Austria, France, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Denmark, Northern Ireland, Greece and Romania also took part, which confirms the importance and international character of this training.
