A workshop within the regional project SPATIAL II

A workshop within the regional donor project of the Kingdom of the Netherlands - SPATIAL II was held in Sarajevo from November 6 to 7, 2024. The goal of the workshop was the exchange of experiences in the field of geodetic measurements and the creation and quality control of digital geodetic products (DTM, DSM, DOF), as well as their use for registers and cartography.

The representatives of FGA presented the current processes of creating topographic and other geodetic data, quality control and specific technical requirements, in addition to exchanging experiences with Dutch partners on possible improvements. The workshop also focused on the possibilities for extracting information from images for the purpose of updating/creating registers, with a special focus on the Dutch experiences in topographic cartography and building of registers. The participants summarized the conclusions, discussed on dependencies in the data collection process and explored recommendations for realizing the FGA ambitions in this field.

The Director of the Federal Administration, Mr. Željko Obradović, opened the workshop and welcomed all participants, as well as the representative of the Dutch Kadaster, Mr. Haico van der Vegt.

This workshop represents support in achieving the long-term goals of FGA for the improvement and digitization of geodetic processes through cooperation with international partners.
